Life Lately

Morning friends!! I haven’t done a personal post in a while, so I’m gonna give you the run down of what’s been going on lately!

A couple of weeks ago, my family went to one of our family friend’s high school graduations. I can’t believe these girls are graduating high school{!!} annnd it makes me feel old.

That weekend, I took the open weekend to visit my bff at the beach. Crazy how life gets busy and time between visits becomes so long! We spent all day on the waterway cruising on the boat and soaking in the perfect weather. That evening we got a long walk and talk on the beach in before heading to a fabulous dinner at Frank’s in Pawley’s Island. We sat under a big white tent with lush vegetation surrounding us and a live singer in the background. If you’re ever in Pawley’s, you definitely need to check this place out…. atmosphere and food are the best, bar none. {Thank you Lacy and Joel for letting me crash y’all’s weekend!!}

I headed back to Columbia to make it to one of my sweet friend/old roommate’s bridal shower at Nonnah’s to top off the weekend. Loved getting to see all those gorgeous gals celebrating such a sweet bride:)

We spent Father’s Day out on the lake. There’s nothing like packing a lunch and just boating all day long! It was so nice to be able to celebrate my dad with everyone there. Then, we went over to celebrate Chuck’s dad with his side of the family. He has such a big family, it’s always a festive and fun time for celebrations on his side.

Well, those are the highlights! #pictureheavypost #sorrynotsorry

Friday Faves

keep calm

Soooo it’s {almost} officially the start of summer !! {eeeeeek.} My countdown to our annual beach trip has begun, because what’s summer without a week of pure beach relaxation?? Yesterday, I had the pleasure of enjoying my afternoon in the sun and soaking in all that is summer. Little ones flowing in for afternoon swim lessons, deserted noodles bobbing in the pool, handfuls of bike riders cruising the street, the need for an ice cold beverage, couples out for evening strolls, the smell of a cookout, boaters out to catch a glimpse of the sunset. I love it all. Sometimes being an adult with no kiddos makes the seasons run together, but these all serve as reminders that summer is here. Just something about the excitement of hot days with a pool or body of water nearby makes me oh so happy. Here are some Fun Faves to check out to kickoff the start of summer!

teal tuesday: father’s day gift guide

Hey yall! Teal Tuesday is here and since Father’s day is coming up {this Sunday!} I thought I’d share a few of my favorite picks. Below are some great options that span from all different price ranges, so hopefully you can find something that will fit the bill for the awesome dad in your life! I went off of a few of my dad’s loves–golf, grilling, music, traveling, coffee and being outdoors. My hubby also loves his Kobalt set and it’s a bonus that it has a lifetime warranty. And what’s Father’s day without a cool tie in the mix;) Btw, those Bose speakers have phenomenal sound quality.

teal tuesday: casual weekend

Happy Tuesday! Below are some favorites for this week that is a typical summer/casual weekend outfit for me to wear. It’s all about comfort peeps;)  I bought the beach pants below at a shop while we were in Edisto, and I love them. They’re super comfortable and I love the color 😉 The strappy Dolce Vita sandals are super cute and on sale here. I recently got a gold bar necklace similar to the one below. It’s so delicate and puts an outfit together instantly. casual weekend wear
Annnd here’s what’s been going on around here! We celebrated my awesome daddy’s 55th birthday a couple of weekends ago. What a wonderful man he is, and we all love him so. Anyone who knows him, knows he is one of the kindest, fun loving people that truly is a kid at heart. I am so very blessed to call him dad, I love you! So, here’s to many more years of celebrating you!
My sister also had her dance recital that weekend, so I went to two of her performances. Unfortunately, we were so rushed afterward we didn’t get to snap our yearly picture together 😦 We did get to grab a fabulous lunch after one of them at Tazikis. Have you tried this place?? It’s delicious, and if you haven’t, you should! Something about eating Mediterranean food, y’all, I never feel bad about it!
And to top off the weekend, we went out on a sunset cruise. Gotta love a Lake Murray sunset. #nofilternecessary
And that is all my friends, hope you enjoyed my Teal Tuesday picks and catching up. Thanks for stopping by!
